A note
Tokyo from a car is a different city
The subway compresses the city into a line between two points. Through a car window it stays continuous: glass towers in the centre, workshops along Loop Route 7, rice fields at the edge — different paragraphs of the same Tokyo.
What you actually buy is not comfort. It is not having to start over. Sleep, take the call, keep talking — and arrive. That is also why we hire by two hours minimum: for anything shorter, a taxi makes more sense.
FAQ
Five questions we get before every trip
A green plate is a commercial vehicle plate issued under Japan's transport regulations. Only green-plate vehicles may carry passengers for payment, and both vehicle and driver must meet the operating standards. Paid carriage in a white-plate private car is illegal here. Our licence is No. 390.
Airport transfers include expressway tolls, parking, consumption tax and the deadhead charge. Charters charge expressway tolls and parking separately, at cost. In both cases sightseeing admission, meals and personal purchases are not included. Nothing that is not on the quotation is added on the day.
We will take it, but cannot promise a car. This is a reservation-only operation and dispatch takes time. In peak season and at weekends, three days ahead is safer.
In 28-inch cases. The Alphard takes four with four passengers, but only two when all six seats are used. The Hiace takes nine with nine passengers. Strollers and ski bags use luggage space — tell us in advance.
No charge if you tell us by three days before the booking date. From three days out to the day before it is 50%; on the day, 100%. Typhoons and earthquakes are handled by moving the date. The rates table is on the rates page.
